Medicare Advantage Plans With Amerigroup
With a Medicare Advantage plan (also known as Medicare Part C), you can feel confident knowing that you have the healthcare coverage you need. Our plans include additional benefits that Original Medicare does not include, such as dental, vision, hearing, and prescription drugs.
Benefits with Amerigroup’s Medicare Advantage Plans
With Original Medicare, you still have deductibles and coinsurance. Medicare Advantage plans generally do not have a medical deductible and have low, fixed copayments. Many Medicare Advantage plans also include out-of-pocket limits on what you will pay each year.
The majority of Medicare Advantage plans include coverage for dental, vision, hearing, and prescription drugs. They also have other valuable benefits that help with everyday health and living:
No-cost fitness program membership with SilverSneakers
A spending account for over-the-counter health products
Rides to health-related appointments
A personal emergency response system (PERS)
24/7 telehealth visits
Benefits vary depending on what plan you choose and where you live. There are plans that allow you to add even more dental and vision coverage.
Quick Care Tip:
All telehealth visits with LiveHealth are fully covered with our Medicare Advantage plans. These virtual visits are a convenient way to manage many different healthcare needs.
Is a Medicare Advantage Plan Right for You?
You have Original Medicare Parts A and B, but no additional coverage. You want coverage for dental, vision, hearing, and prescription drugs. You also want the peace of mind that comes with a limit on how much you will pay out of pocket.
You have healthcare coverage from a union or employer that helps pay for what Original Medicare doesn’t cover. You plan to buy a separate prescription drug plan (Part D) to complement Original Medicare. You are not worried about paying for what Original Medicare doesn’t cover.
Switching Medicare Advantage Plans
As your lifestyle changes, it’s important to ensure that your healthcare coverage continues to meet your needs.
If you need to change your Medicare Advantage plan, we can help. There are certain times each year when you can change your plan, and special circumstances that allow for a plan change.

Special Needs Plans are Medicare Advantage HMO plans for people living with certain medical conditions, or those with low incomes. If you’re living with a chronic condition (such as diabetes, heart disease, or a lung disorder), or if you have both Medicare and Medicaid, our Special Needs Plans support you with extra benefits and coverage.
