John E. Littel, Esq
Executive Vice President, External Relations
John E. Littel is executive vice president, external relations for Amerigroup. In this position, he is responsible for growth and business development, including government and community affairs initiatives, sales and marketing, eBusiness and corporate communications. He also chairs the Company’s charitable foundation and political action committee.
Previously, Mr. Littel served in a number of senior positions in the federal and state governments, as well as the private sector.
He earned his bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Political Science from the University of Scranton and a law degree from The Columbus School of Law at Catholic University. He began his career in Pennsylvania as a regional office manager for the late U.S. Sen. H. John Heinz III and is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar.
Outside of the Company, Mr. Littel is involved in family violence prevention and addressing homelessness.
