Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
James W. Truess is executive vice president and chief financial officer of Amerigroup, overseeing all aspects of the Company’s financial operations.
Mr. Truess has extensive executive experience, having held senior financial leadership positions in the managed care industry over the last 20 years, including the last 14 years as a chief financial officer.
Prior to joining Amerigroup in 2006, he served as executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer of Group Health Cooperative, one of the largest vertically integrated health maintenance organizations in the country.
Mr. Truess holds a master’s degree in Finance from Seattle University and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
