Chief Compliance Officer

Georgia Dodds Foley is chief compliance officer for Amerigroup, responsible for overseeing the Office of Business Ethics and the Amerigroup team of compliance officers who monitor the program throughout the Company, at both the corporate and health plan levels.

Ms. Dodds Foley joined Amerigroup in 2011 from Cigna Corp. in Philadelphia, where she served as deputy chief compliance and ethics officer overseeing compliance for the organization’s domestic operations. As Cigna’s U.S. chief privacy officer, Ms. Dodds Foley spearheaded a comprehensive program that met federal standards and the requirements of individual states. She directed all aspects of the compliance and ethics programs at Cigna, including critical issue and gap analyses, policy development, and the promotion of a culture of compliance and ethics.

Previously, Ms. Dodds Foley served as vice president and chief compliance officer at MMM Healthcare/Preferred Medicare Choice in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She also held the same role at Amerihealth Mercy Family of Companies in Philadelphia, where over the course of 10 years she gained increasing responsibilities in compliance and legal areas.

Ms. Dodds Foley earned her bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University and her law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
