Compliance and Ethics at Amerigroup

Every Associate, Every Decision, Every Day.

We maintain a robust compliance and ethics program consistent with recommendations set forth by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Our program seeks to prevent, detect, and effectively address and resolve potential violations of law, regulation, or Company policy, and is evaluated and updated on a routine basis.

Amerigroup’s Board of Directors, through its Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee, as well as senior management – including the Company’s Chief Compliance Officer and Executive Compliance Committee – oversees the Company’s national compliance and ethics program. This program includes a Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, to which all associates must attest, as well as related policies and procedures and various educational communications.

We provide a number of ways for associates to report potential violations of law, regulation, or Company policy. In reporting these potential violations, an associate may remain anonymous if he/she wants to do so. No associate can be retaliated against for making a good faith report. We hold ourselves accountable for responding promptly and appropriately to reports of potential violations.

Our compliance and ethics program is an integral part of our Company mission and commitment to open and transparent operations.
